Shane A. Stimmel Sales and Marketing Coordinator Friendswoodtx@anytimefitness.com (281)648-3100 Shane Stimmel joins Anytime Fitness of Friendswood with a wealth of experience in sales and marketing and a passion for good health and the fitness industry. Shane grew up in League City, TX and graduated Cumme Laude from Clear Creek High School. He started his career in restaurant management and eventually went into retail sales and marketing for a large custom aquarium company in Houston. His passions for animals, especially of the marine variety, have led him to pursue a Marine Biology Degree at Texas A & M University in Galveston. Along the way he has developed a great interest in exercise and weight training of all kinds. Shane has a strong customer service background, a connection to our community and a desire to help others achieve their personal fitness goals. Shane now resides in Houston and hopes to be part of many more Anytime Fitness locations as the company grows in Texas. |

Cardio or Aerobic?
Cardiovascular (cardio) exercise refers to exercise that strengthens the cardiovascular system. Aerobic just means in the presence of oxygen, and aerobic exercise refers to exercise that lasts long enough to require oxygen. The same type of exercise satisfies both of these qualifications, and the terms cardio and aerobic exercise are used interchangeably. Aerobic/cardio exercise uses large muscles, usually the legs, in a rhythmic fashion. Examples are running, walking, bicycling, swimming, cross-country skiing, rowing, skating, and machines such as stair steppers and elliptical trainers.
